I’m Mark Daams. I live in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. I’m 36 years old. I’m married to Melissa and we have two little daughters together.

I love photography. It is one of the big passions in my life. I like making photos for my own enjoyement, of my family and the things that I come across in my spare time. I enjoy making photos that look good. You can see some of these photos on my blog, which can be found on this website as well.

I also really enjoy taking photos of other people. Everyone is different. Everyone has their own background and unique story. That’s wy I never get bored of photos of people. Every photo is different and has it’s own interesting aspects. The kind of photos that I like best are the ones where someone’s expression or posture communicates an emotion to me.

I’ve been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. My dad used to have a very nice
Yashica TLR camera and a dark room to develop his own black and white photos. Little boys usually are interested in their dad’s hobbies and so it was with me. At a young age I had my own camera that I used to capture all sort of moments, anything from a house of cards that I built to a rainbow that I saw outside of my bedroom window.

Over the years this hobby has bascially gotten bigger and bigger and has, mainly over the past ten years, grown into a passion.

Of course, being the well rounded individual that I am, I have other interest as well. I enjoy playing with my kids and I like going out and having a good time with my family.

In addition to that, I donate my time to a number of charities. I believe in helping other with the talents that we’ve been given. I also like to read books, articles and blogs that can teach me something.
