I want to talk about Ezra today. Ezra is the son of friends of ours and he has autism. I am no expert in the field of autism but I can see that autism, as Ezra has it, is real. It is not just a classification for kids that are a little bit difficult.

To me, the following photo really paints a nice picture of a child with autism. Ezra is standing still here, in the middle of a sack race. Everything around him is moving but he is seemingly oblivious to all of this. He seems to be in his own world.

Most people believe that autism cannot be cured, like down syndrome for example. But, Ezra’s parents are of a different opinion. Through intensive therapy, they are working hard to help Ezra towards leading a normal life.

As I said before, I am no autism expert but it seems to me that the therapy is working and that Erza is very slowly starting to be more and more like other children his age.

I think there is hope for Ezra.

Meggi, ich finde das eine tolle Sache; mir haben die Fotos ausgesprochen gut gefallen! Ezra hat ein liebes und offenes Gesicht.
